Wine And Chocolate

We were invited to a very fun and informative chocolate and wine tasting recently at Taste Wine Bar And Cafe in the Downtown Crossing area.  We not only got to meet Tom and Monica Rogan, owners of Goodnow Farms in Sudbury, but also sipped some interesting new wines.

It's an interesting story.  The Rogans left behind careers in television production in sunny California to take up the production of fine, single origin, small batch chocolate right here in New England.  As we listened to the story we sipped a Cerdon Renardat Fache 2016, a sparkling organic rose we immediately fell in love with ($22 retail) provided by Common Vines, just across the street.

There were also delicious bites to go along with the chocolates, all served up in this smallish but fun space.  Downtown Crossing has really undergone a renaissance in the past few years and now boasts many dining options with many more on the horizon.  We'd suggest you stop by when shopping in the area!
